Event tickets are normally available at all known advance booking offices. The starting date of the advance booking is set by the respective organizer. As soon as the advance booking starts, you will find a corresponding notification and the ticket price on our website. If an event is already sold out, this information is also promptly displayed on our website and kept updated.

If an event is cancelled or postponed to another date, this information is promptly displayed on our website and kept updated. Tickets normally retain their validity in case of a postponement.

If you are unable to attend on the new date or the event is cancelled without a substitute date, you can return your tickets to the advance booking office where you purchased them.

We recommend that you check our website again right before the event in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

The organizer is always responsible for the return of the tickets. In most cases, we are only the venue and have no control over the redemption of ticket purchases. You will always find the respective organizer on your tickets. In these cases, you need to contact the organizer or your ticket agent directly. Should Bochumer Veranstaltungs-GmbH be the organizer of the cancelled event, you will find corresponding information in the respective entry in our Calendar of Events.

Yes, the environmental zone starts right at the motorway exit and includes the entire city centre area. The route from the motorway to the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum can therefore only be driven with a green environmental badge.

The parking fee amounts to a daily rate of € 4.00 for public events and € 6.00 for trade fairs.

During the week, trams 302, 305 and 310 depart from the Bochumer Verein / Jahrhunderthalle stop (approx. 5 minutes’ walk) every 10 minutes in the direction of Bochum Hbf (approx. 5 minutes’ journey time) until 20:00 hrs.; thereafter approx. every 20 to 30 minutes. The last direct connection is on line 310 at 00:31 hrs. On Saturdays, the last train on line 310 departs at 00:31 hrs. On Sundays and holidays, the last connection on line 310 leaves at 23:31 hrs. Yes, handbags and rucksacks are usually checked by security at the entrance to an event. Rucksacks and bags which are larger than A4 size may not be taken into the event and, in case of doubt, have to be handed in at the checkroom. It is fundamentally not allowed to bring glass (bottles, glasses, etc.), cans, weapons, fireworks and other dangerous objects. In case of doubt, other items that are not allowed are decided depending on the event.

No, the organizer does not usually want you to bring recording devices such as cameras and photographic equipment that cause disturbing elements such as flashes, and they are therefore not permitted.

You can get snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as beer, wine and sparkling wine before and during the event at our bars in the foyer of the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum.

No! The Jahrhunderthalle Bochum consistently enforces the Non-Smoking Act in accordance with the law. Smoking has been banned throughout the building since July 1, 2008. For guests who would like to smoke, alternatives are provided in the outdoor area, subject to the organizer’s specifications. The smoking ban also extends to the use of electronic cigarettes, so-called e-cigarettes.

There is a checkroom in the lower level of the foyer. The price is € 1.50 per garment.

No, it is fundamentally not permitted to bring animals to the events.

With the discontinuation of most of the Corona rules, the access restrictions and the mask requirement also cease to apply in our venues. Please note, however, that our organizers are free to apply measures for the respective events. Please inquire about any admission rules prior to your visit.

As a general rule, young people under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a person authorized to supervise them. Parents and guardians may entrust other persons with supervision, provided they are at least 18 years old. A corresponding form for authorizing a person with supervision can be downloaded here.

In general, a sufficient number of seats for wheelchair users and their companions are available at all public events. For seated events with a free choice of seats, sufficient numbers are usually reserved in the orchestra area. In case of unseated events, a podium with accompanying ramp provides you with an unrestricted view in our venue on the evening of the event.

Yes, there are accessible toilet facilities in the lower level of our lobby. The lower level can be accessed by two lifts.
